ATV Camping tours are offered in Muskoka and Haliburton County. Choose from our 5 packages - from short ATV guided rides to longer ATV guided rides, or go unguided!

Its everyone's dream to find that picture perfect camping spot like you've seen in the movies. Somewhere deep in the forest in Muskoka or Haliburton - untouched beauty. But how do you get to it and where is it exactly? Some people�pay for a float plane to get you into these secret secluded spots and pay thousands of dollars for an overnight trip. Or others will do the same old thing and go camping at a provincial�park, camp side by side, with�limitations of sound, curfews�and disruptive neighbours. Boring!!!�

If you're looking for the Epic over night camping adventure, Back Country Tours offers this once in a lifetime private convoy of our Honda 4x4 ATVs! that you drive across the great Canadian Shield through rivers, streams, brooks and valleys with family and/or friends! Drive through some of our 1,700km of deep forest trail system to reach your picture perfect lakeside campsite. The campsites are on a spring-fed lake that can only be accessed by our “all terrain” vehicles or bush plane. Everyone, from beginners to well seasoned campers and ATVers are welcomed to join this exciting outdoor adventure. You’ll get to go where most Canadians never get to go..deep into Haliburton or Muskoka back country forest. Our expert ATV guides will show you the way to our secret camping spots, that are 30km to 100km deep in the back country forest. They will help you unpack, setup your campsite then leave you to�your dream camping spot to enjoy some down time to do what you want - swimming, tanning, and some of the best fishing around! So picture yourself with your partner, family or friends camping at the end of an epic day of ATVing driving through mud, rock and water. Camping 5 feet from the waters edge, cooking over a roaring fire and sleeping under a blanket of stars. Awake to the sounds of mother nature and �a beautiful sunrise, cook your catch for breakfast, and take a quick dip before your guide arrives back to take you for day 2 of your epic ATV riding adventure!

What to�expect:

When you arrive for your camping safari you will be�greeted�by our expert ATV Camping guides and they will assist in loading and strapping your camping gear on the ATV's. Our friendly male and female guides will then prepare you for your adventure. First showing you how easy and fun it is to operate our Honda 4x4 ATVs, then teach you the riding�techniques in our training area. Here you will be taught how to safely�traverse�over rocks, drive up, down and alongside hills. Once you are comfortable and confident you are ready to ride!

ATV Camping Highlights

Driving up majestic rivers, under a canopy of maple and white pine forest through extreme mud bogs, century old wagon roads, 100 foot granite cliffs, passing by moose and deer, arriving to a picture perfect camp site with great scenery, fishing, swimming and no one around for miles.

FAQ's

Q. I have no ATV riding experience. Is that OK?
A. Most of our client's don't have experience. We will teach you everything you need to know so you will have a blast with us.

Q. Is this a guided tour?
A. Yes!

Q. Does the guide stay overnight?
A. No they don't stay with you over night. After helping you set up your tents they depart for base camp and arrive the next day to guide you back.

A. Yes!

Q. Can we have passengers on our ATV? And how old do they have to be?
A. Yes you can have passengers from age 4 and up. Passengers aged 10 and under are free! Passengers aged 10 & over are half price.

Q. Can I bring my own ATV?
A. Yes!

Q. Do I need a drivers licence?
A. Yes, but a learners permit is adequate.

Q. Do I need a credit card?
A. Yes, all rentals & tours require a valid credit card for a security deposit.

Q. What do we need to book?

A. We require 50% deposit on Visa or MasterCard to book your adventure. The remaining balance will be charged to the supplied credit card 14 days before your adventure day.

Q. If it's raining do we still ride?
A. Yes! It's way more fun in the rain!

Q. Can I act like an idiot, kick the crap out of the ATV and not listen to the tour guide for my own safety? �
A. Yes, at any other tour company, just not ours! Our male & female guides work hard to ensure you have the best time ever, but will not tolerate insolent�or reckless behavior.

Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. The 50% booking deposit is non-refundable. If cancellations are made before 14 days or more prior your adventure date the deposit can be used to reschedule at a later date. Cancellations made 14 days or less from your booked adventure, deposit is non-reusable.

Q. What should I wear?
A. Please wear long pants, closed shoes (for example sneakers), and bring a change of clothes with you.
